
Colton Saunders
Colton is an Associate at Thicket Ventures. He is a recent graduate of Santa Clara University where he studied finance. He has worked in both the finance and art world. His finance journey started at Chilton Investments as an intern in high school. He later worked in Venture Capital with Glade Brook Capital as an analyst. He then transferred into the Private Equity world working for Round Hill Capital over in London England, where he focused primarily on conducting thorough market research and analysis to support the development of investment strategies, identifying trends, and evaluating potential opportunities in financial and real estate sectors. After his time at Round Hill, Colton followed one of his passions into a career in the art world. He founded and started Motel NFT, a company focused on conjoining the art world and the block chain space. During his time at Motel NFT he successfully fractionalized the world’s first Andy Warhol painting into purchasable NFT’s. He has also worked for Gershensen Reality where he helped Develop and acquire properties ranging from 100,000 square feet to developments exceeding 1 million square feet and provided premier asset management and enhancement/development services to outside clients. Most recently Colton has managed and directed a gallery based in Los Angeles called Giovanni’s Room. He managed the gallery alongside the owner, overseeing gallery operations and assisting with business administration, general financials, accounting, loan research, exhibition coordination, and installation design.
Colton is based in New York City, while also splitting time in Palm Beach, Florida and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, fishing, hiking, biking and golfing. He also stays current in both public and private equities markets, managing portfolios in the stock market as well as private investments. Another passion of his is art and he stays current with exhibitions and shows. He keeps up with current market trends as a collector, investing and trading around pieces on both paper and canvas.
